Phoenix was the smallest puppy ever born to Standard Kennels. At birth he was unable to suckle, so his chance of survival was very low. He had to be hand fed every two hours for 5 days. His miraculous survival was the inspiration for his name; after the legendary bird.

This wonderful dog not only survived, but grew into the strong and healthy fellow he is today, with litters of his own.
